The following encyclopedias, dictionaries and other on-line resources have been discussed at ANZDEG meetings. It is not a complete list, and suggestions are welcome.
- Australian Dictionary of Biography - Online Edition.
- Over 10,000 scholarly biographies of persons who were significant in Australian history. It does not include people who are alive.
- Brisbane Memories.
- The history of Brisbane and its people, created by local and family historians.
- Chinese-Australian Historical Images in Australia.
- A catalogue of historical images of Chinese, Chinese immigrants and their descendants held in Australia.
- Dictionary of Australian Artists Online.
- Over 7,000 biographies of Australian artists, including biographical data, contextual information, commentary and images.
- Dictionary of New Zealand Biography.
- over 3,000 biographies of New Zealanders who have 'made their mark' on this country. It does not include people who are alive.
- Dictionary of Sydney.
- The Dictionary covers the whole of the Sydney basin, from the earliest human habitation to the present. It will contain images, sound, film, documents and maps, as well as new scholarship, research and bibliographies.
- Encyclopedia of Melbourne.
- An A to Z reference work covering the city of Melbourne's history from pre-European settlement up to the present day.
- MacquarieNet.
- MacquarieNet resources include the Macquarie Dictionary and Thesaurus, a huge variety of encyclopedias and dictionaries, Macmillan library book content, up-to-the minute newsfeeds, over half a million images, multi-volume Australian History works, Explore Australia and data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Hansard, and hundreds of safe internet links to Web sites.
